I primarily use my UTV for winter cleanup and firewood processing, so in the summer I keep it on a trickle charger. On my old ATV I used one of the cheap maintenance chargers from Harbor Freight, until that boiled and blew up a battery. Huge mess!

Currently I use the NOCO Genius G1100. I have it plugged into the same remote control outlet as I use for the block heater in the winter, so it is off most of the time.

Has anybody used one of the more expensive chargers (NOCO or otherwise) with a "repair" mode for old, idle, damaged, stratified or sulfated batteries? Is it worth the premium price?

I use a simple Schumacher Onboard Battery Maintainer — 6/12 Volt, 1.5 Amp, Model# SE-1-12S
Works great on all my equipment, 2 tractors, 1 riding mower & the Polaris Brutus.
Cheap about $30.00
I have 3 of them for use mostly in winter on the tractors & the Brutus.
Been using them for 10+ years now & no problems.
