The new spreader, grapples and Kohler diesel look nice.
The spreader lists for $3199 for the ranger, and $4199 for the brutus, they look the same to me.

Three months too late.

Great, my plowing season is officially concluded, and now they come out with a sander/spreader. On the other hand, they want $4,200 for the spreader? And here I was thinking SnowEx was overpriced at $750.

From the press release, it seems the new spreader requires the new reinforced cargo box?

.......I'm still waiting for a harley rake. Spreader looks nice but is way overpriced. It would't pay for itself in a year, that is for sure!

Hadnt seen this. What does the snoex bed spreader run?
Spreader

A small 250lb spreader worked best for my needs I chose to have the control flexible it sits on my lap to control on , off , speed , and vibrator. In the summer I can just put it under the seat . My shop and driveways are all on hills and I was surprised at how well it moved snow . I never had to put chains on it. The bobcat mirrors also helped greatly during snow removal. OEM SaltDogg?

The smallest SnowEx bed spreader (V-Pro™ SP-3000) is about 4" longer than the Brutus cargo box. They also make hitch-mounted models. Competition is the Downeaster Jr, SaltDogg, Meyer, etc.

The one shown on the press release most closely resembles a SaltDogg SHPE0750, a 0.75 cubic yard model:

Yep it looks like a salt dogg. None of the heavier duty spreaders with independent controls for auger and spreader with vibrator function are cheap.

Always love looking at pictures of other people's setups. I like the support strap idea as well as the reflector you mounted in the bed by the cab. Those mirrors also are very nice.

Thanks .I think I borrowed the reflector idea from proper landscaping I'm also adding the strobe on top of the pipe for next season . We had a man killed on his tractor while clearing snow around his mail box this winter and the driver said that he didn't see him:confused:

I finally got a chance to clean up my brutus after a fairly rough winter. It sat outside in a parking lot all winter. The temps were so low most of the winter, I never had a chance to power wash it. I salted 30+ times with it and plowed around 10-12 times. I was pleased with the lack of rust on the frame and engine. The only area i had surface rust was the muffler and a little bit on the exhaust pipe. Unlike my 2500HD, there is a ton of peeling paint on the frame and the spare tire wheel is full of rust. To be fair, this is the 2nd winter on my truck. Overall, pretty happy with the brutus this winter. After a good 2 hour hand wash it looks almost new again.

Has anybody pulled the trigger on the Polaris cargo box utility spreader? I like the functionality (in-cab control of auger, spreader, vibration), but the price tag is a deterrent.

I see it listed at $3,200 on a few sites, plus I'd need the reinforcement kit for the box to use it on my 2014 Bobcat.
So what low cost spreader do you recommend for my Brutus? I just have a long paved driveway and don't want to spend a lot.
Brine should work fine on a long paved driveway. There are some relatively inexpensive in-bed sprayers available that you fill with a calcium chloride solution, then the pump is powered off the Brutus battery. Check out Tractor Supply and Northern Tool.

I have not yet found any in-bed UTV material spreader that is a better value than the Polaris.

I am really tempted to join the local makerspace and fabricate my own under-tailgate dump box spreader.
Thanks I will check out my local tractor supply.
Make and model of 250lb spreader?

What model is that 250lb spreader?
