Getting ready to install a Zerostart model 310-0093 block heater.

How to get the factory filler out depends on what year yours is and which engine it has.

Generally the "casting core plug" is threaded in, and has an "inverted hex" socket in the top which can take a jumbo hex wrench or hex driver.

It is a 2013 Polaris Brutus PTOHD. The frost plug is on the drivers side of engine close to the top. Smooth surface , no inverted hex.

Looks like the non-threaded kind of frost plug, that takes a non-threaded heater insert.

A 2013 with then Yanmar engine should have a threaded plug for a block heater, here's mine:
